The article is saying that there has been a rise in internet use throughout the world, where Europe spends the most time online. This is probably because of the advances in technology, and that computers and internet are more available to the average person.

I think what this article is telling us is that internet use is only growing, and will continue to grow. Places that don't even have it, may in fact some day be right up to par with us. There are so many opportunities through internet access that there is no way people wouldn't want that for their area, country, or region.

People in these countries where internet users are abundant know the wealth of information there is out on the internet and they use that to their advantage. Our lives would all be different if we did not have the internet.

I believe it has improved a way of life, because you can basically get any information you want at the tip of your fingers.
ReplyDeleteCanada, US and Europe dominate internet usage because we have more time on our hands to do so. We also have the money to afford the technology. Most of us are not restricted by basic needs such as spending all day cultivating our food. Other areas of the world may have government restrictions or do not have the power and technology connections that we do to get hooked up.

I think that the growth has a lot to do with Web 2.0 and how the Internet has become very interactive and convenient. Not only did Web 2.0 make the Internet more interactive, but it also helped create a very large and broad spectrum of information that grows exponentially every day.
